securing a future for black femme

Greetings,
I hope this finds you well.
My name is Tahji and I am a 23 year old differently-abled black NB/queer writer/activist/ raising funds to help secure my future.
I am currently a student at MIU, in Fairfield, Iowa.
Yes, Iowa.
The town I live in is a cross between hippies and literal Trump supporters.
COVID isn’t taken seriously, schools are open, and I don’t think it’s safe in the slightest for me to live on campus anymore. Within the past week, I’ve already been exposed to COVID.
I have good news though!
I’ve found a space that I can afford. I am reaching out to my community for financial and emotional support.
I also won’t have to live close to my abuser anymore and I’ll have a space where I don’t have to worry about being exposed to COVID.
I’m really excited and really grateful for all the contributions so far. I can finally see a future where I am at peace in my own space.
I have chosen not to embrace a scarcity mindset. I am aware that money comes and goes. I am still supporting my community through all of us. I am so full of joy that we are all getting homes and surgeries and the world seems to be opening up.
