Dr. Cosby's Wounded Hero Fund.

On April 7th, 2016, Dr. Chris Cosby suffered an unexpected massive stroke, while treating patients, that rendered him permanently disabled from Aphasia, blindness, paralysis and seizures, and made a full-time caregiver of his wife, Cindi Gonzales-Cosby. They now live on his disability in a rental being sold, and on May 31 will be looking for leased housing near Carmel or NW Indy, where their son, Drej Cosby, attends high school.
Your donations will also assist with the goals of the three oldest kids, Jazen, Cyan and Honor, in affording to buy books and supplies and remain in college with their Purdue Emerging Leadership and Honors Awards and the fourth hoping to head that way soon. Your help will also offset mounting medical bills and weekly therapy services for Dr. Cosby, Aphasic and Brain Research studies, Caregiver support methods, and new special shoes, braces and botox rehab treatments for his arm and leg. Please consider donating to help Doc and his family as they push forward to not only help Dr. Cosby recover to the best of his ability and remain an inspiring Honorary Coach to students, but to survive and sustain their current affordable living efforts for utility bills, food, petcare, housing needs and now moving costs.
It is Doc's and Cindi's dream to recover enough to be on advisory boards, participate in public educational speaking events on strokes and traumatic brain injuries with a special focus on the debilitating, devastating affects of Aphasia (loss of language, word comprehension, reading and writing). They also hope to further Neuro Research Studies through new trial participation, create a potential Resource Book, promote Art, Music, Aromatherapy, Nature, Journaling, Robotic, Body Motion Activity, Healthy Healing Foods and Combined Tranquil Alternative therapies. They plan to show their gratitude in giving service through cheerful, encouraging volunteerism in hospitals and centers to motivate, hug, provide support and inspire other survivors and caregivers and prevent further suffering in isolation. Dr. Cosby's son, Drej, is one of my closest friends, and it is my hope that we can all come together and help them out.
