Who We Are
UP-SAC-LE is a soon-to-be Non-Profit Organization that provides Free Reusable Upcycled Natural Fiber Bags for produce, bulk, groceries, and more to anyone that needs them. Our intention is to reduce plastic use in stores and markets everywhere. Currently, we are based out of Hawaii and Wisconsin.
In America alone, 100 Billion single use plastic bags are used every year. Worldwide, 1 Trillion are used each year, that’s nearly 2 Million every minute.
Our goal is to get reusable fabric bags into the hands of as many people as possible to reduce the impact of plastic on our planet, our children, our pets, sea life, animals, our soil, and our water.
We created our Go Fund Me campaign with the intention of raising funds to cover costs until we become an official Non-Profit Organization. (It can take 2-12 months to become certified.) This includes:
- Non-Profit Certification Fees
- Material Costs
- Cost of Time
- Postal Fees
- Transportation cost (money spent on gas during distribution)
We are currently made up of 3 people, but aim to expand our team to easily reach local communities everywhere in the U.S. Until then, we will be mailing bags (in plastic free packaging) in addition to providing them locally. We will be distributing in grocery stores, farmer’s markets, department stores, and anywhere else that will welcome us! All for FREE!
