Born out of a grass-roots group of allies and LGBTQ+ neighbors in 2014, Up North Pride has grown from 300 participants to 3000+ participants in just 3 years.
This year, we expect to draw well over 5,000 people.
Up North Pride 2017 will take place June 21-25, 2017 in Traverse City, Michigan and we've curated a full lineup of events dedicated to turning up the volume on love, fun and celebration in the spirit of bringing our community together.
Last year, we had the largest participation-driven Pride March in Michigan. Because this has always been about getting into the streets. Standing in solidarity and celebration for all people is all about participation and visibility. It's about bringing the pro-love vibes into the streets we know and love.
Our costs have more than tripled this year, and to put on all the events for our community, we need additional funds. Every donation gets us closer to our goal and to the future we believe in.
