My name is Raymond Moody.  In 1975, I coined the term near-death experience in my book Life After Life.

For half a century,  I have researched some of life's greatest mysteries. Maybe these questions also intrigue you.

Have you ever been curious …
 
… if an afterlife exists? And, what might be the proof that it does?
 
…about the accounts of people who have died and come back to life and what they discovered during their experience? What revelations and unique gifts did they bring back from the “other side”?
 
…what the dying might see and know about another dimension beyond this one? Is it true they have otherworldly visions, mysterious final words and unusual states of consciousness?
 
…about after-death communication? Is it possible? How?
 
These inquiries have shaped my life's work and now, I want to share their exploration with you.
 
With my friend and colleague, Lisa Smartt, I am creating a forum for conversations, courses and community about near-death, shared-death and after-death experiences.

I have invited leading researchers and authors to be a part of its creation as we explore consciousness together.

 We will launch the online “university” with our first 6-month webinar series entitled Raymond Moody’s Consciousness Forum: Into the Light, THE NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE. 

Many of our guest “faculty” are physicians who bring the dual perspective of being scientifically-minded and spiritually transformed by their research and experiences. 

The first series of monthly webinars will include conversations with Dr. Eben Alexander, Jeff Olsen and Dr. Jeff O’Driscoll, Dr. Melvin Morse, Dr. Tony Cicoria, Kevin Braheny Fortune, Dr. Rachel Harris and Dr. Mary Neal.



"Guest Faculty" Will Offer Workshops Based on Their Fields of Interest

Guest “faculty” will also offer experiential online courses on selected topics based upon insights and tools gleaned from investigations into this field. 

Learn about healing through sacred sound, connecting to Divine inspiration, communicating in new ways with beloveds, increasing intuition, finding deeper knowing and connection to Source and enjoying less anxiety and greater comfort with living and dying.

Raymond Moody Consciousness Forum 2: THE SHARED DEATH EXPERIENCE  (2019)

Our second 6-month webinar series Into the Vortex, The SHARED-DEATH EXPERIENCE will feature William Peters, Lisa Smartt, Sharon Prentice and others who explore bedside visions, final words and the unusual and profoundly transformative experiences that loved ones and healthcare workers can share with the dying.

Consciousness Forum Series 3: RELIEF FROM GRIEF  (2019-20)

Our third webinar series Relief from Grief focuses on the transpersonal and psychological aspects of bereavement and loss as well as history, tools and tales of after-death communication.

Consciousness Forum Series 4:  THE LANGUAGE & PHILOSOPHY OF TRANSCENDENCE (2020-21)

Finally, in our fourth webinar series, we will investigate two of my lifelong pursuits: linguistics and the philosophers of Ancient Greece, with a special focus on how language shapes our experience and how transcendental experience shapes patterns of speech and communication.

TIMELINE & EXPENSES

The University of Heaven will launch on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 with Dr. Eben Alexander, author of the bestselling Proof of Heaven and Living in a Mindful Universe.

The $35,000 will cover startup costs including: the administrative time and skills necessary to run crowdfunding and social media campaigns, to build the website and to create manuals and templates for courses, in addition to funding the purchase of video and audio equipment, editing software and the subscriptions that will allow for our webinars and courses. The startup costs will also cover all incidentals, such as office supplies.
