Environmental Engineering University Tuition

Donation protected
I'm dedicating my life to combating the effects of air pollution, climate change, and waste in the environment by studying an Environmental Engineering Master’s degree.

Did you know that air pollution kills 7 million people, with 44,000 of these deaths occurring in the UK, every year? It causes coughs, heart disease, fertility problems, strokes, exacerbates dementia, and cancer. Perhaps you or someone you know might already be experiencing these effects.

There are 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic waste in the world, with only 9% of this figure actually being recycled. It’s in our oceans, cities, countrysides, and probably resting in your hand right now while you read this - in the form of your phone, computer mouse or keyboard. And where will this end up when it’s no longer of any use to us? Most probably in our oceans, cities, and countrysides, since it takes between [phone redacted] years for plastic to degrade.

These are just 2 examples, but there are so many more. The knock-on effects of pollution and plastic waste is killing not only us humans, but causing a mass extinction of the animals and plants with which we share the earth.

If you've ever watched any David Attenborough or climate change documentaries, maybe you'll find this all horrifyingly chilling too. But just think of the animals, plants and people that can be helped by creating positive environmental, social, and economic change worldwide!

Environmental Engineers sound like they could be the next generation of superheroes.  But, instead of crime, we'll fight environmental degradation to save the world!
Hmm.. Anyway.. If any of this concerns you, then please help by funding me, so I can help calm your concern.

A Quick Run Down

- I'm a Civil Engineer who graduated with a 1st class BSc (Hons) from the University of Derby, who plans to become a Chartered Engineer, setting up my own social entrepreneurship to improve the conditions that all living creatures live in by reducing air, land, and water pollution.

- I've been accepted into Imperial College London - consistently ranked in the top 10 universities in the world - and start my full-time MSc Environmental Engineering with Business Management course in September 2019.

- The tuition fee cost is £13,250. Even after taking out another student loan of £10,609 this will only cover 83% of the tuition fee, leaving nothing for the cost of living in London, one of the most expensive cities on this planet of ours.  I am still paying off the loans from my first degree, so the debt is rapidly increasing.

- As I progress in my career, I can only hope that I can be a positive role model for the next generation of female engineers, so that together we can both pass on the knowledge we’ll have learned to try and make the world a slightly better place.
