Universal Access Gym for Oceanside

Universal Access Qualicum Beach goals are to support
residents in and around Qualicum Beach who are living with physical disabilities as a result of spinal cord injuries, post-polio, stroke, M.S., Parkinson’s Disease, PTSD, Chronic Pain, Cancer, Aquired brain injury, developmental disabilities, Visual Impairments etc. 

Universal Access Qualicum Beach is working together with Access Oceanside Association in Parksville to: 

1.  Purchase specialized equipment that will meet the needs of our present community members supporting functional independence.

2. Find an appropriate accessible longterm downtown location in Qualicum Beach or Parksville to host our specialized gym equipment and accessible cycles/lending library and multi-purpose education/support environment for our citizens living with physical, emotional and mental health challenges .

We are raising funds for 5+ pieces of specialized equipment and a lift. We will start with The Bungee mobility trainer- $6400 with shipping and The Sit-to-stand trainer -$6300 by Neurogymtech. They are designed and manufactured by a Canadian company. www.neurogymtech.com . The Nu-step TRX5 has been recommended and requested - $8850. The Uppertone Quadgym- approx $4000 U.S.  The motomed viva 2 and a portable mechanical lift are also on our wish list!
