6 years after a fire, a new home?!

My name is Julie Rust, and that's me in the picture, imagining the unimaginable. I have a dear friend (unnamed because I want to keep this as a surprise for her) who lost everything in a fire 6 years ago.  She has been living with her daughter and 3 grandchildren in a small rental trailer ever since.  She is not able to work due to several health issues and her daughter is a single mother. They have an unusual opportunity to acquire a 3-bedroom home that's within their budget and  has not been listed on the market yet. It's a little rough around the edges, but she has several friends who can help her with fixing up the house. Even though it's in their price range, they do not have the immediate down payment that's needed. They will also need a stove, gutters, paint and refinished floors.  Besides taking care of her 3 grandchildren while her daughter works, my friend gives tirelessly to her community, including collecting clothing and food for the homeless, organizing an "angel tree" every year for children who normally wouldn't get a Christmas, and spending time reading to children in hospitals and seniors in nursing homes.  It would be wonderful to give her  this gift for all that she has done for so many.
