*Due to these findings, I will be ending my campaign and issuing refunds.  Thank you all for your support.*
For those of you who were curious which lab quoted me, it's Avomeen.

IS IT SAFE?

Yiganerjing Cream is an unregulated, over the counter ointment that originates from China, used to treat eczema, psoriasis, chronic dermatitis, acne, rosecea, etc..  It's cheap, accessible, works, but IS IT SAFE??!!

What's actually inside Yiganerjing Cream ?

"UNICORN"?? On an Amazon product description page, "unicorn" is listed as an ingredient among other fantastical contents such as "Indian buead, seven swords, iron Holly" and a mysterious "etc."  Receiving the package, "Unicorn Lotus" is printed on the insert included inside the box, but the real serious purpose of this campaign is funding a HARMFUL INGREDIENT SCREEN.

Many who have tried this product, including myself, have wondered and highly suspect topical steroids.  It seems to work like it.  I suffer from eczema and am always looking for a good cream but I also care about what's actually in it. It's cheap, it's over the counter, it works, but is it safe?? Being a hot seller, I think it's time we the consumers, we the people, find out what Yiganerjing cream is made of.

HARMFUL INGREDIENT SCREEN
I've reached out to an analytical chemistry lab, to find out.  This campaign will direct the funds to do a harmful ingredient screen. They will perform a full harmful ingredients screen for pesticides, heavy metals, solvents, volatile and semi-volatile drugs. They will also confirm if a steroid or steroid-like compound is present. I've received a general “cost of research” estimate in the amount of: $4,800. On top of this, there are additional expenses to add, bringing the total goal to $5145.  The cost breakdown can be found below. This may seem like a lot, and it is. But it will be a thorough, professionally accredited United States based lab chemical analysis. With enough contributors, we can fund this. The public deserves to know. Together, we can unlock the Unicorn code.

Unfortunately, analyzing a "main active ingredient" is a separate service, and would also cost thousands to identify for just one ingredient. Between the available services, I opted to go for the harmful ingredient screen as the better value. So while this isn't a direct Unicorn analysis, I will nonetheless request confirmation of the presence of Unicorn itself. Most certainly this may reveal whether they used organic Unicorns or non-organic Unicorns, as well as any potential Unicorn toxicity.

I've read on different Amazon pages claims of different "old" and "new" Yiganerjing packaging/formulas as well as reports of “fake” creams. From what I’m aware of the “real” cream is yellowish, thick, and menthol. Because the sample requires 4oz of cream, or 8 tubes of Yiganerjing cream, I will be purchasing from the most reliably affordable seller listing I can find on either Amazon or Ebay. I will discuss the sample source with the community prior to analysis. Some shipping may take longer than others but I will look for a US seller. I will link the source, photograph and upload the packaging type that I receive.

THE LAB
The lab I reached out to gave me a general estimate, but would NOT agree nor guarantee to a set contract outside 30 days, also adding restrictions on confidentiality to their name and exact pricing. They also declined to publicly verify the results after testing. While I am considerate to this, I was discouraged and disappointed by the lab’s decisions. I still intend to be raising and resubmitting to them as a “first choice” lab.  I understand the sensitive nature of competitive lab pricing. However, due to their disclosure restrictions and insufficient commitment, I am always OPEN TO OTHER LAB BIDS.

In the future, if they significantly change their service, proposal, or refuse, and no alternative labs are found, I will end the campaign and refund everyone.  The best I can do for now is provide a description of this first choice lab.  I will say they have been around for ten years, are FDA-Registered, DEA-Licensed, GMP/GLP-Compliant, REACH/RoHS Compliant, ISO 17025-Accredited for analytical testing.  The analysis will include testing on one or more of the following state of the art instruments: FT-IR, LC/MS, SEM/EDXA, NMR, HPLC, ICP, PIXE and GC/MS, as well as a wide range of other analytical techniques and other instrumentation, as needed. They will issue a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with a description of the analytical methods and findings. While the full findings will be released, the exact details of the certificate may or may not be disclosed, pending approval and legal restrictions regarding confidentiality. One of their Ph.D. level chemists will supervise the analysis.

“ALL OR NOTHING” FUNDING
This campaign will attempt to fundraise for about 100 DAYS (tentatively until the SECOND WEEK OF MAY 2018) If the fund goal is not met by then, I will voluntarily DEACTIVATE the campaign and REFUND all donations.

WHY GOFUNDME?  https://www.gofundme.com/why-gofundme
-Popularity & Familiarity – most popular and familiar crowdfunding for flexible causes that I’m aware of.
-Donor Guarantee - https://www.gofundme.com/guarantee-refund-policy
I want supporters to be comfortable in donating, especially if they change their mind.
-Responsive Help Support – In my experience, help support contacts have been very responsive.

RISKS
However, gofundme also has racked up many poor complaints regarding a multitude of issues including inability to withdraw funds, unexpected cancellations, etc… https://www.consumeraffairs.com/business/gofundme.html
https://www.highya.com/gofundme-reviews
https://bestcompany.com/crowd-funding/company/gofundme

This is new to me. I've never fundraised on gofundme before.

I would have preferred that the funds be held off from access before reaching the goal, but unfortunately gofundme requires me to withdraw funds after a certain number of days. While this should not affect things, it does make me more directly responsible for the donations I receive.

Worst case scenario for me would be gofundme’s auto refund process failing and having to personally, manually refund every single donor, which, if the funds are properly transferred, I am prepared to do. It just would take a long time and possibly compromise my privacy. :

Issues with the lab.

Any other unexpected processing or misreading of rules, regulations.

WHY 100 DAYS?
Emailing customer support, I’ve been told the deadline to easily refund all donors is within 180 days, due to federal regulations and credit card policies.  This is not listed in their help support FAQ.

However, doing my own research I’ve read “120 days” as a standard time limit for credit card chargebacks.

Just to be safe, I’m giving myself a 20 day buffer to make sure I can smoothly refund everybody through gofundme before that expires. Based on this I would deactivate and refund around second week of May, 2018 if the fund goal falls short.  However, if I’m close enough to the fund goal, I may allow the campaign to continue.

REFUNDS
https://support.gofundme.com/hc/en-us/articles/204150420-Requesting-a-Refund
If you wish to be refunded at any time during the course of this campaign, you may request one and hopefully, it will be easily processed through gofundme.  Refunds will NOT be issued after successful funding goal is met and service is paid to the lab.

AFTER SUCCESSFUL FUNDING
After funding is complete, I will order 8 tubes of Yiganerjing cream from a source that ships quickly.  I will show photos of the version I receive and check authenticity by opening one unit. I will send the samples to the lab. The analysis will take up to 20 business days after which, I will reveal the results upon receipt.

Again, this campaign will attempt to fundraise for about 100 DAYS (tentatively until the SECOND WEEK OF MAY 2018) If the fund goal is not met by then, I will voluntarily deactivate the campaign and refund all donations. The sooner this gets funded, the sooner the analysis.

WHO AM I
I'm just a guy with eczema who came across Yiganerjing Cream, tried it myself and found that it works, and wants to know if it's reasonably safe.  I know it's hard to trust a one man campaign; the safeguards include gofundme’s donor guarantee, refund policies, and my “all or nothing” pledge.  I value my internet privacy, but I do have a public freelance business that I would stake my reputation on www.jamesmarstudio.com. If you're still uncomfortable, you don't have to donate.  But if you want to know if Unicorn Cream is safe, like I do, please donate.

I've tried Yiganerjing Cream once.  From this source .
I've also tried Yiganerjing Spray.  Didn't work.
I've also tried Yiganerjing Soap.  Didn't work.

This campaign is NOT a joke.

Thank you for your generosity!
