Me llamo Maria José, soy una niña fantástica, inteligente, vivaz y feliz, hoy quiero contarte mi historia, nací muy pronto, vine a este mundo con 29 semanas de gestación, soy gemela y en el embarazo de mi mama tuvimos síndrome de tansfuccion fetal, los ginecólogos le explicaron a mi mama que ese síndrome fue como haberse ganado la lotería, no por los beneficios que conlleva si no por lo raro que es, a mi mamita para poder reparar ese síndrome le hicieron una cirugía intrauterina, nosotras aun estábamos en su panza, la cirugia fue perfecta, pero habían posibilidades de que nosotras naciéramos como efecto de esa cirugia y así fue, cuando nací yo era la mas afectada, mi cuerpo estaba lleno de liquido, y tuve una hipoxia isquémica, pero Dios fue maravilloso, solo necesite un día de respirador artificial, pero viví un mes en cuidados intensivos y otro mes hospitalizada en el hospital, pudimos ir a conocer nuestra casa despues de dos meses de nacidas.
En este momento tengo ocho años, aunque soy una niña muy inteligente y mis papas hacen que mi vida sea una vida normal, aun mi parte motora esta muy comprometida, aun no me siento ni mucho menos camino.
Pero tengo algo que contarte, despues de pedirle mucho a mis papitos un regalo que quería con muchas ganas, ellos me lo van a dar, y es un hermanito, estoy muy feliz, demasiado feliz, todo los días le conciento la panza a mi mama y hablo de como lo voy a cuidar y amar, pero ahora sucede algo, mi mama se le a ocurrido que debemos de aprovechar el regalo que Dios nos a dado y es guardar las células madres del cordón umbilical de mi hermanito, con el fin de poder usarlo en un tratamiento para mi, y por eso estoy solicitando tu ayuda, nos queda poco tiempo, mi hermanito si dios lo permite llega en la primera semana de agosto, y los banco de células madre en el lugar donde vivimos son muy costosos y sobre todo que ya no hay tiempo.
Mi mama a investigado y encontró un buen banco de células que se llama famicord, y porque este laboratorio, porque este permite que las células sean utilizadas en Europa o en estados unidos, en este momento no sabemos donde vamos hacer el tratamiento, pero lo importante es tener una posibilidad, por eso pido tu ayuda, para poder tener esta oportunidad.
Sus gestos podrán permitir tener una posibilidad, una posibilidad de tener otra opción, gracias por tu ayuda, pequeña o grande no importa, nos queda poco tiempo!!

My name is Maria Jose, I am a fantastic girl, intelligent, vivacious and happy, today I want to tell you my story, I was born very soon, I came to this world with 29 weeks of gestation, I am twin and in the pregnancy of my mother we had fetal transfusion syndrome , The gynecologists told mum that this syndrome was like winning the lottery, not because of the benefits it entails but because of how rare it is, my mommy had a intrauterine surgery when we were still in her tummy to try to sort out the problem, the surgery went perfect, but when I was born I was the most affected one, my body was full of fluid, and I had an izemic hypoxia, but God was wonderful, I only needed one day of artificial respirator, I lived one month in intensive care and another month in the hospital, we were able to go to our home after two months of being born.
At the moment I am eight years old, although I am a very intelligent girl and my parents make my life a normal as they can, my body movements still compromise, I can´t sit by myself neither walk.
But I have something to tell you, after asking a lot to my parents for a little brother they finally agreed and I will have a little brother soon. I'm very happy, every day I'm aware of mine mom’s tummy and I talk about how I'm going to take care of it and love him. Mum thought that we should take advantage of the gift that God has giving us and it is to keep the stem cells of my little brother's umbilical cord, in order to be able to use it in a treatment for me, and for that reason I am requesting your help, we have little time, my little brother will soon be here with us, probably on the first week of August, and the stem cell banks where we live are very expensive.
My mom researched and found a good bank of cells called FAMICORD, and because this lab allows the cells to be used in Europe or the United States we still not sure where we will start my treatment, but the important thing is to have a chance for me in the near future. Please I´m asking for your help to have a chance to change my life forever.
