Steven Haines Memorial Field Fund

Anyone who knew my father knew what a kindhearted man he was. He taught math and he coached baseball and he shared happiness and joy with everyone he met. He was a proud father of three young children and he loved everything about his job, his students, and his players. After his death 16 years ago, the baseball field at Chariho Middle School was dedicated in his name. This was only possible after countless generous donations from people that loved him like I did.
Recently, someone vandalized the plaque on the field with very hurtful words. My family has made it a mission to replace the plaque as soon as possible to rid the field of this horrible act. My mother is determined to raise the money herself to pay for it, but I know that there are so many people out there that knew my dad that will be willing to help out. Our goal is set at $1000 right now and is only an estimate of the cost. After my mom researches and talks to the company that will replace the plaque, we will adjust the goal accordingly. Any surplus donations will be given to my fathers memorial scholarship fund, another wonderful way to honor his memory. Thank you so much to everyone that can help us put this ugly act behind us as quickly as we can.
