More information about Cetacean Research & Rescue Unit: Formed in 1997, the CRRU is a marine conservation and education charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans) in northeast Scotland through scientific investigation, environmental education, and the provision of a 24-hour veterinary service for sick, injured and stranded individuals. Education runs throughout the core of the charity’s ethos. To date, over 1,000 young people have attended the CRRU’s summer internship training courses or currently contribute to our citizen science cooperative.
