Uganda Mission Trip 2021 Project Fund

Building on the success of 2018’s mission trip to Kagando, Uganda, I am organising another mission in August 2021 with a larger team made of up myself, Liz, Stuart, Jack, Harry, Ben, Tom, Dylan and George. Last year our mission had a massive impact on the community despite only having 4 of us and a small amount of funding. For this mission we hope to raise £15,000 so we can do even bigger and better things and fund the multiple projects to further support the local community in Kagando. Our key projects that require funding are: •To build a perimeter fence around the school to give them significantly increased safety and security. Without a fence the school can easily be targeted by thieves and, as facilities and resources are improved, this problem will only get worse. •Set up sustainable food projects to feed school children and the elderly •Paint and decorate a local nursery and purchase essential equipment and furniture •Provide teacher upskilling and further resources to enhance children's learning and development •Purchase and build craft and play equipment for a HIV support group •Purchase sport equipment and encourage locals to take part in group sports •Additional activities such as litter picking and general support in the community Each donation will bring significant improvements to the community and will help support them for the future. I have personally made connections and relationships with many of those living in Kagando and I am very much looking forward to returning to this wonderful community with an enhanced team of volunteers.
