The Senn Family
When Megan was diagnosed with Leukemia, she and her mom had to leave Salmon Arm for treatment in Vancouver. Because they were able to find a temporary home at Ronald McDonald House, Megan's brother, Connor, was eventually able to join them as well. Having her mom and brother close provided comfort while she went through blood work and chemotherapy every day. Thanks to Ronald McDonald House, Megan's other siblings were also able to visit for the holidays, giving them time together as an entire family.

For over thirty years, Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon has been providing accommodation for seriously ill children and their families when they must travel to Vancouver for their child’s major treatment. The House serves 2,000 families each year in 73 spacious suites.
On June 2, 2014, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Surrey Memorial Hospital was also opened. A House within the hospital, the Ronald McDonald Family Room serves over 700 families each year, and is a welcoming refuge for families of children admitted for treatment.
