Did you know that colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer-related death in the US for males and females? Did you know that it is preventable? Colonoscopies are one of the best screening tools we have, and with it, we can detect an abnormality before it becomes a serious problem. Even though screening and colorectal cancer itself is not a glamorous topic of discussion, it is something that we need to become more aware of.
My mission is to promote colon cancer screening and awareness. Screening is recommended for men and women starting at age 50, or earlier for those with risk factors such as a family history. A few of my family members were diagnosed with colon cancer and unfortunately lost their lives to this terrible illness. I would never want you or your loved ones to experience this.

[Their] mission includes: increasing public awareness; educating the public about the importance of early detection; increasing screenings and supporting research into the causes and cures for early age onset of colorectal cancer."
