UPDATE: My luck has taken a turn for the better since the last update. I am happy to report that my treatments will be paid for, removing a big load off of my shoulders. My battle is far from over, however, as I will return home afterward and that is when the bills will start coming due. I will still need to put up cash for copy costs for medication, costs for supplemental items needed for rebuilding my immune system, medications for infection prevention/control, and things of that nature. One of my main concerns regarding these costs is that I will be unable to work whilst receiving treatments, as I will have no immune system and will be at high risk for infections if I am not cautious with human contact. The funds that have been given will be going toward the things listed as above, but any contributions are greatly appreciated. I am so grateful and lucky to have so many people in my corner as I surge forward against my condition. You all have my love and many thanks. With you all beside me, I know that I will emerge to a new chapter in my life, one filled with family, victory, and joy.
As most people whom are close to our family already know my mom has been going through a rough time in and out of hospitals and trying to figure out what is going on. Yesterday morning, July 8th my Mother Tammie Pearrow was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer.. It has taken over 90% of her bone marrow. Instead of red blood cells being in her bone marrow, it has been taken over by plasma cells.. which our bodies do not need.. she is currently in Baptist hospital in Little Rock AR undergoing test and scans. She has spoke with multiple specialist and they have all came to the conclusion she will have to have chemotherapy. Treatments and medicines are going to be a lot.. at this moment we are looking at 10,000$ Per treatment. And of course she will have to have multiple treatments. She has Medicaid but they will not cover the treatment she needs. They will only cover the basic form of chemotherapy. And she needs a very high powered type of chemotherapy considering it has taken up 90% of her body. The specialist she has been speaking to says he can cure her (with many treatments and prayers) but she has to have the type of chemo her insurance will not cover.. he has healed people with 96% of there body taken over with the same kind of cancer and taken them into remission which is what we are praying for. Any little bit will help. I know the goal is a lot.. but in reality the goal set is only one treatment.. Cancer is not something my family or I was expecting at all.. it is a complete shock and very hard to wrap our heads around. Anything would be greatly appreciated.. God is the only one who can make things better and heal my mother. And we are Praying and praying. Please feel free to share this page as much as possible.
