Bedroom and Wetroom for Grace

Grace is our 5year old daughter and she has cerebral palsy. She was born 12weeks premature and unfortunately she suffered a severe brain haemorrhage which has resulted in her having this condition. 3 Years ago we where advised to apply for a disability facilities grant from our local council to have our house adapted for grace as she cannot walk or do anything for herself, she currently uses a manual wheelchair but is awaiting the arrival of a powered chair. After discussing multiple options all of Graces medical professionals agreed the safest option for grace would be a single storey extension to the rear of our property to provide grace with a ground floor bedroom and wetroom with shower, closomat toilet, rise and fall sink and a H frame to H frame hoist, this will also give her the most independence. Unfortunately after 3years of battling with our local council they have decided that even though this is what she needs to fulfill an independent life its too expensive for them to warrant building or funding it. Which brings us to today and the reason we are doing all of this, we desperately need to raise the £50,000 so we can get the work done ourselves so we can provide grace with a safe risk free home where she can live as independently as possible.
