Jonathan's Fight

Donation protected
In 2010 Jonathan decided life was too short not to be what you wanted. So he quit trying to build a "normal" career and focused his time on becoming a professional fisherman. He married his wife Alison and moved to Alabama, where much more opportunity awaits the aspiring angler. He quickly established himself in the local guide community, and his tournament resume started to show promise. In 2014 he broke through and won one of the FLW Tournament Series events, putting into motion the reality he had dreamed of fishing professionally and making it work. However in early 2015 he began having pain in his left side, they couldn't diagnose it for months, but eventually it was identified as an extremely rare cancer, Synovial Sarcoma. It can be curable in places it can be surgically removed, but in his chest it couldn't be done. Jonathan fought through 7 hard rounds of chemo, loosing 50lbs. But it stopped his cancers progress and he was able to build some strength back. Though he knew he was nothing like he used to be physically, Jonathan set right back out on his path, to fish professionally. Over the next year he fished 9 FLW Tour events as a professional, finishing in the money 3 times. Unfortunately in July 2017 the scans showed Jonathan's tumors are again beginning to grow and he must go back through IV Chemo to try and stop them. Obviously the expenses of traveling for care and the co-pays and medical bills is overwhelming. No middle class family could alone face the costs of this fight. If there is any way you can give, even $5, please help! Fish on!
