Guatemala Missions Trip

I wanted to share an amazing opportunity the Lord has put in my path, a short-term mission’s trip to Antigua Guatemala!  From a very young age I have asked about and looked into going on a mission’s trip.  I love children and spreading the word of God, so serving in these ways has always been a goal of mine.  I have been patient and consistent in prayer waiting for the Lord to provide the right opportunity to be a part of a trip I could thrive in.  After several prayers and remaining patient I am humbled that God wants to use ME and my influence in such miraculous ways to spread His word and has given me an opportunity that I am so excited for.  

I am planning on going on my very first missions trip to Antigua Guatemala July 14th-21st with James River Church.  During this trip we will be working At The Shadow of His Wings Orphanages, nursing homes, helping feed, sharing the love of the Lord, and building up and encouraging the adults in the church.  We will be working alongside with other missionaries, Bryon and Tiffany Applegate.  We will end our trip with an amazing cultural experience visiting the market and various historical sites in the city of Antigua.  I am looking forward to seeing what this experience can do for my faith, and for the community we will be helping in Guatemala as well.

The faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain, and I know that if this trip is supposed to work out that through the Lord it will be made possible.  Above all else I ask for your prayers in safety traveling to and from, and also during this trip.  I also ask that you pray for the right group of people to go together as a team, and if the Lord has placed it on your heart to help what you feel is right in donations.  The total trip cost is $1500 and I will be working to save to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to serve.  Thank you for your consideration of your time and resources.

I am so excited to see the ways that God will work within me and what He will do in my life as I take this step of faith.  I am also eager to see the ways He will work in others lives through this amazing experience this summer as well.  I have no doubt this experience will be life-changing and I am so thrilled to share it with you.  Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
