<div>As many of you know, our brother Kainalu has been hospitalized since the end of March. While we want to respect his privacy, we’d like to share a little of what he and our family have been going through. For the past two years, Nalu has been courageously battling kidney failure. Despite ongoing dialysis and treatment, there have been many difficult days. At the end of March, he suffered a severe stroke caused by a brain bleed, leaving him in critical condition and paralyzing the entire right side of his body.

<div>Since then, he has continued to fight with incredible strength, showing progress day by day. We are hopeful for the day he is able to leave the hospital, but his journey will continue in a long-term care facility where he will need ongoing support.

<div>Kainalu is a devoted single father to his three children, and as a family, we are committed to doing everything we can to provide them with as much stability and normalcy as possible during this challenging time. This GoFundMe has been created to help support his children—Tyson, Ta’ina, and Tei’ani.

<div>Tyson has a passion for boxing, and donations will help cover travel expenses for his matches. Ta’ina will be entering her freshman year, and support will go toward her school needs. Tei’ani will be starting 8th grade, and contributions will help with her educational expenses as well.

FIGHT THIS FIGHT, KAINALU!

<div>Dylan has been my best friend since the day we were both born. That's not a figure of speech we've been in each other's lives for as long as either of us can remember. I've watched him grow into one of the most gentle, generous people I've ever known. The kind of person who shows up for everyone around him without ever asking for anything in return.

<div>In August 2025, Dylan was at his desk in Bali when he had a sudden seizure, completely out of nowhere.
</div>
<div>He blacked out, hit his desk on the way down, and woke up in hospital covered in blood. The scans revealed a golf ball-sized tumor in his brain. Within days, he, his wife, and their two-year-old son were on a plane to Australia. A few weeks later, Dylan was in surgery.

<div>The surgeons removed as much of the tumor as they safely could. But not all of it.
</div>

<div><strong>The diagnosis: Brain cancer.</strong>

<div>Grade 2 IDH-mutant astrocytoma.

<div>The only treatment offered was chemo and radiation. But the doctors were upfront, this would not cure him. At best, it might slow things down, with a real risk of permanent brain damage.

<div>Dylan didn't accept that. And honestly, neither did any of us.
</div>

</div>
<div>He's 35 years old. He has a wife he loves deeply and a little boy who is going to grow up needing his dad. Dylan has spent months researching, seeing specialists, getting tested, and refusing to give up. That's exactly who he is.

<div>And he's found something that gives him, and all of us genuine hope.
</div>

<div>Immunotherapy treatment in Japan, which is specifically designed to target and destroy cancer cells without damaging the healthy brain and body around them. Real patients have come through this treatment cancer-free. Dylan has done the research. He's spoken to the specialists. This is his path forward.
