Hello, my name is Donald Santos. I'm in a rehab hospital waiting for a total hip replacement of my left hip. I recently was informed that I would have to pay $614.00 a month or receive 30 days' notice to vacate, whether I had the operation or not. As it is, I cannot stand up or walk. I need to pay that amount so I can stay here long enough to have my surgery and stay long enough for rehab so I'll be able to walk again. Then I'll be able to get housing and live again. It'll be a long journey, but I'm determined to make it with your help.

On February 6th, I was informed last month I would have to start paying $614.00 a month or I would receive 30 days' notice to vacate the facility whether I've had the operation or not. The problem is I can no longer walk or stand and spend my time between the bed and wheelchair. They need a Hoya lift to pick me up to move me. I can no longer take myself outside, so I have to wait for someone to visit to take me out. All I want to do is walk again. Insurance pays all the medical but not to stay here doesn't make sense
