My husband Jeffrey was a kind and loving man. We were together for 14 years, married for 12 of them. He was a true family man, accepting my kids as his own, and when we had grandchildren, he loved them with all his heart and soul. Losing the love of my life just two days ago has left my world shattered. I lost my heart and soul, and I don’t know how to get through this. 
 
 
 We always joked that I would be the one to go first, since I have a lot of medical issues, and I’d haunt him and always be by his side. But now he’s the one who is gone, and I have to figure out how to go on without him. Jeffrey was a good cook, and I was the one who did the baking. He always made sure I had everything I needed, just as I made sure he had what he needed. We both would forget our anniversary, even though it was engraved on the inside of our rings—but neither of us could get them off to read it. I don’t know how to do this by myself. I love you, Jeff, to the moon and back. 
 
 
 We spent everything we had on his cremation, and now I’m left facing bills I can’t pay. Our house and truck are in his name, and I’m terrified I might lose everything and end up out on the streets. The financial stress is making an already impossible situation even harder, and I’m reaching out for help because I don’t know what else to do. 
 
 
 My husband was a man who worked 80 to 100 hours a week to make sure our family was taken care of. We never asked for anything, and we always put our kids first, even if it meant giving up things we needed ourselves. Now, I’m facing life without the love of my life, and I’m struggling to see how I’ll get through this. I’m asking for support not just for myself, but for the family we built together, so I can keep a roof over our heads and start to rebuild.
