<div>Hello, I am a recent college graduate in the United States fundraising for my dear friend Ghadeer, a young woman currently living in the north of Gaza with her family of thirteen. Ghadeer dreamed of becoming an architect before bombings destroyed her house and her family was forced to flee multiple times.

<div>With a total blockade of supplies into Gaza, the family is now enduring a terrible famine; any available canned food is extremely expensive. Before the blockade, the family got by with the sale of her mother's baked goods, but without basic resources their income has been cut off. Meanwhile, several of Ghadeer's family members, many of them children, have suffered injuries from the constant bombings, and others like Ghadeer have shouldered the responsibilities of loved ones who have been killed.

<div>The family has been fighting to survive for nearly a year and a half. They are currently preparing to be displaced from their home in Gaza City to a tent in the south of Gaza, all while enduring the same extreme heat as last summer, which caused health issues for her brother and niece. The money raised would go not only toward food and medical care but also a tent and a small area of rented land to put it on.

Support Ghadeer Through Famine & Displacement in Gaza

<div>My story is tragic, but it is real. My family miraculously survived famine, yet hunger and hardship have not ended. After international pressure, food finally entered Gaza, but we suffered a complete financial drain during the famine, when prices were insane. Now food is available, but unfortunately, prices are still extremely high, and we cannot afford enough to sustain my family and move forward.

<div>The injustice has not ended, as the army warns of a possible ground invasion of Gaza City, the last city that has not yet been occupied. We do not have enough money to escape when the invasion begins, as random shelling will start, and it will be nearly impossible for people to evacuate safely.

<div>Hello, I am Aseel from Gaza. I am 30 years old, married and have 3 children. I studied the English literature and graduated from the university with an average of 85%. I was hoping to get a job as an English language teacher, but the Israeli occupation stole our dreams and. we don't have future in this life. Is it a sin that we are from Gaza? Now we live a difficult and harsh life for us and our children, and we have not found the elements of life that we hoped would be the best for them. My eldest child, Judy, is 4 years old. She went to kindergarten to learn and build her future, but she was only a week into Kindergarten . The war came and stole her dreams and bombed her kindergarten. She sat crying every day, “I want to go to kindergarten, Mama.” I have another child who is 3 years old. Muhammad also wants to go to kindergarten. Like his sister, he cries like hers, but the occupation stole everything and we no longer have any hope for life. And my little girl, Hoor, who was born prematurely in the seventh month, we hoped that she would live life and be in good health, but the war changed her life for the worse due to the lack of sufficient medicines and treatments for her to grow and develop without problems. She is healthy, as she was injured in this war, resulting in burns on her body and face, and needs treatment and attention. Our lives have become harsh due to the forced displacement that we are subjected to from time to time. We had to move to a safe area so we moved to central area where all of my family lived in tents. We have little access to water and food. Every moment is fraught with risk. We are devasted left our home leaving us homeless running from one shelter to another trying to escape bombs tanks and bullets, we escaped death many times. We moved our tents again to Raffa near the Egyptian border. Our lives are at risk from lack of water, lack of food and hygiene, diseases, and bombing. Life here became too dangerous so we had to move again to central. We are currently trapped in a war zone which is life threating, we are not safe we live in very difficult condition due to lack the basic necessities. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers, all of my bothers and sisters are well educated. I was planning to attend university unit the war changed everything. We had to move to a safe area so we moved to central area where all of my family lived in tents. We have little access to water and food. Every moment is fraught with risk. Life here became too dangerous so we had to move again to central. We are currently trapped in a war zone which is life threating, we are not safe. Canada announced a temporary program to evacuate immediate Gazan family members and my uncle, a Canadian citizen, is trying to make arrangements and we are waiting for a response from Canadian Immigration to cross the border to Egypt. We need to raise 5000$ for each family member to cross the border. We are under constant stress and fears moving from place to place. Please I need your help to find a safer place and safe future. <div>During the war, our way of life changed. We started using fire instead of gas, and we have to walk long distances to get both salty and fresh water. Even the fresh water is not clean. Life became very difficult and harsh for us. We started living in tents, where its extremely hot and filled with insects. My children got many diseases, including malnutrition and jaundice, due to the poor quality of water, lack of essential supplies, and poor hygiene.
