In 2020, my mom had a brain aneurysm, but has healed better than we expected! In 2023, my father, her husband, who was also her main caretaker, passed away suddenly from a completely unexpected heart attack..my mom and I happened to be the ones who found him. Since then, things have been much harder on her. Also, for almost two years now, my mom has been unable to access her own money due to a court-ordered guardianship initiated by one of my older sisters, one that was never needed, and should have never happened, but this particular sister is a highly controlling, disruptive and unpredictable person, and unfortunately makes everyone's lives volatile and extremely stressful to everyone around her. This situation has left my mom completely dependent on others, and unfortunately, my sister has not and will not provide any support. We are currently trying to get the court involved, but unfortunately without any money, it's proven to be very difficult. My mom is struggling to cover even her most basic needs, and it breaks my heart to see her in this position. She urgently needs help with legal fees to fight for her rights, as well as funds for food, supplements, car repairs, and plumbing work at her home. Every day is a challenge, and it’s been incredibly hard watching her go without the essentials that most of us take for granted. I’m doing everything I can, but we simply can’t do this alone. I know things are super tough for everyone right now, and so I would never just expect for random people to help a random person, but I’ve seen this platform help tons of people before, and that warms my heart to see people with such a care toward others, even when they don’t have to. If anyone can spare even the smallest amount, it would go a long way to helping my mom. Thank each and every person who lends their hand, truly.
