On September 30, 2024, we were granted custody of our three beloved grandchildren after Child Protective Services (CPS) became involved in our family’s life. Our daughter and her boyfriend were offered services by CPS, but the situation remained unstable. Then, on March 12, 2026, our precious 2-year-old granddaughter Journey, who was born with Trisomy21, tragically lost her life. The circumstances surrounding her passing are under investigation, and the parents are currently being looked into by authorities.
Our heartbreak began even earlier, on June 24, 2024, when our daughter, her biological mother, and grandmother arrived at our home and took our grandbabies from us. Our grandson was just three weeks shy of turning two and had lived with us since birth, a thousand miles away from his parents, who had little contact or involvement in his life. Despite being granted custody by a Harris County, Texas judge, we were denied access to our grandchildren by the parents, the other grandparents, and CPS. Since that day, we have not been allowed any contact with our grandbabies, and CPS continues to withhold information and place them in homes with other family members who have a long history with CPS. We are deeply concerned for their safety and well-being.
We are now facing urgent legal expenses as we fight to gain custody and protect our two surviving grandchildren, ages 3.5 and 6. Our only goal is to bring them to safety and provide them with the love and stability they deserve. We are heartbroken and desperate, but we know that with your support, we can take action. Any donation or even sharing our story will help us move forward and give our grandchildren the future they deserve. Thank you for standing with us during this unimaginable time.
