Our beloved little Yahya has been fighting for his life since the day he was born.  Yahya was born with an extremely rare and complex congenital heart condition. Since birth, he has endured countless hospital admissions, intensive care stays, painful procedures, and five open-heart surgeries in an attempt to save his life.  Yahya underwent the Norwood procedure and later the Glenn procedure as part of the staged surgeries required for children living with single ventricle heart conditions. Sadly, doctors were unable to proceed with the final stage — the Fontan procedure — because of a severe blockage affecting his left lung/pulmonary artery.  This means Yahya is now living with a single ventricle heart and effectively relying on one functioning lung, making his condition critically complex and life-threatening.  Following one of his cardiac surgeries, Yahya tragically suffered a stroke which affected the left side of his body. He now struggles with mobility difficulties, becomes tired very easily, and continues to face daily challenges no child should ever have to endure.  Recently, our family received devastating news that doctors here in the UK feel there is very little more they can do for Yahya medically and have now placed him on a palliative care pathway to keep him comfortable.  But as his family, we are not ready to give up on him.  We are desperately searching for specialist surgery, advanced treatment, and second opinions abroad in the hope that there may still be hospitals, doctors, or treatment options that could help save our little boy’s life.  Despite everything Yahya has been through, he continues to smile, laugh, play with his brothers, and fight with so much strength and courage every single day.  As we try to fight for Yahya’s life, our family is also facing overwhelming emotional and financial pressure. The costs of specialist consultations, medical reviews, travel abroad, accommodation, ongoing care, and potential treatment are far beyond anything we can manage alone.  The funds raised will help towards:  • Specialist consultations and second opinions abroad  • Life-saving surgery and advanced treatment  • Flights, travel and accommodation costs  • Medical expenses and ongoing rehabilitation • Support for Yahya and our family during treatment  Please donate anything you can to help give Yahya a chance at life-saving treatment and hope for a future.  If you are unable to donate, please share Yahya’s story.
