<div>I never imagined that one day I would have to write my story like this, asking strangers for help just to survive. Only a few months ago, life felt normal. I was visiting my family in Gaza, planning to spend some time with them before returning to my life in Belgium, where I hold a residence permit. But everything changed overnight.

<div>The bombing began without warning. In a matter of minutes, the home that held all our memories, laughter, and safety was gone. We ran with nothing but the clothes on our backs and the hope that we could simply stay alive. Since that day, my family and I have been living in a small tent in southern Gaza.

<div>There is no electricity, no clean water, and often no food to share between us. Nights are cold and frightening; days are filled with hunger, exhaustion, and fear of what tomorrow will bring. The sounds of war never stop, and the uncertainty is unbearable.

<div>I was supposed to return safely to Belgium, but now I am trapped here with my family. Every day I wake up with the heavy weight of responsibility on my shoulders, asking myself how I can save the people I love when I feel powerless.

<div>Every single day here is a fight for survival. My family has lost everything—our home, our security, our future. But what hurts me most is watching them lose hope. Children dream only of bread and a safe place to sleep. Parents wonder how long we can keep going like this.
