Church Vehicle Fundraiser

New Union Baptist Church is a small church in the Hahnville, LA community. In addition to offering worship services on Sundays and Wednesdays, we play an active role twice a month in volunteering and ministering at the Project Lazarus House and The American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge.

The Lazarus House provides transitional housing to people living with HIV/AIDS who have no other place to live. Men and women go to the Project Lazarus in various stages of health and care is provided according to each person’s needs.

The Hope Lodge program is to help patients cope with the cancer treatment process. The Hope Lodge provides a supportive environment for patients and ease the financial burdens that come with the disease.

Many of the patients have expressed their interest in attending our church services but do not have the means of transportation. Our mission is to raise money for a church van to transport them to and from the Hope Lodge and Lazarus House to join us in praising the Lord.

When we think of church, we think of love, family and praise. While these patients have to live with the stigma or fear of living with these diseases, some of them have to deal with the lack of love and support of family and friends. New Union Baptist Church wants to show them that they are not forgotten. We want to give them that sense of love, the feeling of family and fill their hearts with praise.

With your generous donations, you will help us purchase a church van and help in such a special way! Being a Christian, we are sure you will understand the importance of giving others a good foundation in our beliefs in Christ and the lord. Our church’s main goal is to spread the word of God and give back to those in need.
