Time off to take care of hubby

My husband suffered a major heart attack from which he is still struggling to survive. He has been intubated and sedated for three weeks now and will be receiving a tracheostomy. Being that I am the sole provider in our home, I have taken a family leave but am not receiving any other income, other than my saved funds and help from friends and family. Unfortunately, the timing is also stressful because it's taking me into summer, when I will receive no income at all, because I work for the Board of Education. So realizing that I will most likely have exhausted all my funds,  and not knowing how long this will go on, I have come to the decision that I need help. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
