Tyra's Stuffed Animal & Toy Drive

My gorgeous granddaughter Tyra Diamond is a Christmas baby, born December 22nd. She is battling brain cancer and currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She spent her 8th birthday in the hospital recovering from surgery. For her 9th birthday, she asked everyone for stuffed animals to donate to children spending the holidays in the hospital, instead of gifts for herself. She collected over 230 stuffed animals & toys to donate! This year she turns 10 and she wants to collect even more stuffed animals & toys than last year! After 3 hospital stays and 4 surgeries she understands all too well how a simple stuffed animal can bring comfort to a child who doesn't feel well. Tyra is accepting new, unwrapped stuffed animals and she asked me to start this account to raise money so that she can do her own shopping for stuffed animals and toys to donate this year. We hope to reach our goal by December 10th, in plenty of time for Tyra to do her shopping. She will make a donation to Children's Methodist on December 19th and another to Children's Hospital of San Antonio (Santa Rosa) on December 22nd. We are thankful for any help in reaching Tyra's goals !
