My name is Tyler Lu, and I graduated from Yale in 2017.
-#1 singles my entire career
- 2017 Ivy League Player of the Year
- All-Ivy First Team in 2014/2015/2017
- Represented Yale/Ivy League at a number of NCAA individual tournaments
- 2016-2017 Yale Men's Tennis Team Captain

I was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up playing baseball, basketball, and soccer, along with violin and piano, before falling in love with tennis fairly late at age 12. I did not start for my high school varsity tennis team my freshman year, but eventually became a blue-chip recruit and committed to Yale. My success at Yale has given me the confidence to pursue my dream of playing professional tennis.

Unfortunately, even starting to try and play professional tennis is an expensive endeavor that my family and I cannot finance on our own. Any little bit that any person is willing to donate is an immense help and always greatly appreciated.

Professional tennis never crossed my mind until my last couple years at Yale. I continue to fall more and more in love with the sport, and I am grateful everyday for the opportunity to even have a shot at chasing my dream. Being the best tennis player I can be is my motivation to wake up every morning.

Please visit my blog/website at www.tylerlutennis.com to learn more about me, read about my experiences, follow my progress, and contact me. I check my messages everyday and always give a heartfelt response to anybody willing to dedicate time to reading my story or reaching out.
