Space to make The Cosmic Space Worm

As you may know, we have a passion for creating large art. Giant robots, giant whales, giant trees...you name it. If it's big, we like to build it. You may have heard that we just got our 6th grant from Burning Man to build The Cosmic Space Worm! It will be a 30' long pedal-powered aluminum worm built upon 5 adult tricycles. The thing is, the one thing you need when you build large art is a place to create it. Currently we use Tyler's yard, as we do not have a shop. This means that we can only build when it's not raining (we live in Oregon so you can imagine how often that is.) It also means that we have to set up our tools every time we want to work which is just a colossal waste of precious building time. What we desperately need is a decent sized building that is dry, convieniently located, and affordable. Unfortunately warehouse space in the Portland area isn't so cheap. That's where you come in. We are looking for funds to help pay for a proper work studio where we can create The Cosmic Space Worm . We have found a place that will work for what we need, and it's in a building that has other artists and Burners in it as well. This space would allow us to intensely focus our time on creating more and more interactive and awe-inspiring art for the world to enjoy. And as with all of our projects, we would invite people to come help out while learning new skills and mastering new tools and techniques. Our goal for this GoFundMe is to raise enough money to pay for this work space throughout the summer.
As we just received the Burning Man art grant, the sooner we get funding and find a space, the sooner we can start building. The space becomes available 5/1. This space is just a bit over $2000 a month to rent.

This is our dream, and it is coming true. We are just glad that our dream is one that countless other people can enjoy.
