Tyler will Triumph
On Easter morning the devastating news that Tyler had been internally decapitated was delivered to the family by the ER Doctor at Strong Hospital. Very few make it to the hospital with this injury, of those, rarely do they live to leave. Although Ty was lost during Mercy Flight, he came back fighting. His brain swelling & bleeding subsided at an astounding rate, he was operated on the following day fusing his spine to his head using bone from his hip. Surviving the surgery, making it through the next 24 hours was monumental. Taking him off the breathing ventilator & bringing him out of the medically induced coma was surreal. He came out the Tyler we know & love. He still has a long road ahead of him and he's determined to continue to make medical history. The outpouring of support from the community, friends, family & complete strangers around the world is beyond amazing, and so appreciated by the family. Tyler has many months of recovery ahead of him and the continued support & prayers of everyone is what gets them through each day.
