I need to raise myself up for educational purposes, by having a lift put in my wheelchair. Because of safety reasons, I have to sit in the back of the classroom and it hurts my back to try to look over the other students heads in class to see the whiteboard. With the lift I will also be able to see the projector and the movies played in class. When I have to do presentations in class, I will be able to make eye to eye contact with my audience. It also helps at my medical appointments. In public places, people would not have to bend down to speak with me. The lift will also help me get food off the shelves in the grocery stores and make myself more self sufficient. I use it for special events, like baseball with my favorite team the Padres.
