Helping Veterans Transition

$25,000 goal

Campaign created 10 months ago
I started Real Estate Careers for the Armed Forces (REC4AF) with Colonel Ric Talley & Winter Heafey, an Army Ranger.  Originally we wanted to develop a mentoring, training and hiring program for veterans and their families to gain employment in the commercial real estate industry.  After over 2 years we determined it was best to reorganize our nonprofit into a public charity.  The new entity will be called Real Estate Coalition for the Armed Forces.  The reason we need to raise money now is to pay the legal fees to convert the nonprofit, pay a new organization to manage our fundraising, and pay a consultant to help distribute the monies annually at an awards event to select nonprofits that are in the business of helping veterans transition.  Since we haven't been able to make a name for ourselves it has been difficult to raise money.  We know once we do the conversion the real estate industry will see that we are a legit nonprofit and we can then raise money on our own.  Please help us. Visit our web site ( www.rec4af.org ).  We need the money to change the web site as well.  So for now,it still has the old information.
