The last push (end to end)

In April 2013 tiffany aged 10 started to become unwell when we took her to the doctors they said it was migraines .However she became worse feeling more unwell,tripping over her feet and complaining of pins and needles.One morning,I went to awaken tiffany for school as normal and discovered her led on the floor.She explained that she tried to get out of bed during the night but had collapsed as she couldn't move or feel her legs,I tried to get her up from the floor not realising how severe actually were.The doctor came and immediately called 999,Tiffany was taken to a&e and for the next 2 weeks after numerous tests and scans was diagnosed with transverse myelitis a rare neurological disease.she had no movement or feeling from waist down.she was put on medication straight away and had to have regular physio input.Tiffany was in agony but remained strong and after several weeks showed a slight improvement.She was allowed home but after a few days became poorly again.When we went back to the hospital Tiffany's was complaining about struggling to breathe.she was rushed to RMCH were during the following 18 months she had a tracheostomy and had to be put on a ventilator after suffering 3 respiratory arrest.our lives were in turmoil.After 9months tiffany was moved to the the long term ventilation ward and received various treatments and operations.Although tiffany is now at home we have regular hospital visits and she is on chemotherapy to prevent relapses.Carers come in day and night as tiffany needs constant observation for her breathing difficulties.meeting kirk has shown us we could do things we thought were impossible after all we've been through in the last 3 years.ook page,
