TWU of America Hurricane Relief

As extreme weather continues to affect families in several states, the TWU International leadership has met to outline an action plan to best support our brothers and sisters in the areas where hurricanes hit. We are committed to securing our members’ immediate safety, assessing where the greatest needs lie, and identifying the most effective ways our union can support recovery efforts and help distribute aid directly to our members who need it. At this time, we are unsure how many TWU members may have been affected.

While the destruction remains ongoing, we continue to be in touch with groups on the ground to gauge where the TWU can be most helpful in light of limited access and widespread devastation.

In the meantime, locals, individual officers and members can make contributions here to support our brothers and sisters who need it. At the direction of the IAC, TWU International will distribute this fund directly to members in need once rebuilding efforts begin, for aid with home rebuilding, clean-up, and other recovery efforts. Members requesting assistance from the fund should contact TWU International in Washington, D.C.
