Renew the Ropes: Phase I

Tax deductible
Brand New Challenge!

If we can raise $10,000 by April 1st,  a group of Tall Timber friends in Snohomish will triple it and contribute $20,000!!!!

[The Go Fund Me Goal amount is changing in order to reflect donations that are coming to Tall Timber either through the talltimber.org or directly to the camp office.]

Tall Timber's objective is to continue offering the best and most exciting adventure activities with Purpose, while building confidence and teamwork, and pointing campers to Christ! Adventure opportunities, that challenge, have become the DNA of Tall Timber!

The "Renew the Ropes" Course campaign will do this by building Phase I improvements after the dismantling of the existing ropes course. Why do we have to start over? In order to meet new more stringent standards set by Washington State and the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), the national standards entity. We will partner with a northwest company called Synergo, that provides the best practices and construction methods to meet updated safety standards for challenge courses. They have clients like Tall Timber all over the country and are an ACCT certified ropes course builder, trainer & inspector.

“I learned many new skills; how to rock climb, how to dance, how to go on high ropes. I conquered my fear of heights that I didn’t even know I had. I came here not knowing God and have grown closer to him this week. I got many new friends. This was a great experience.”
- (camper age 13)

Phase I includes  4 new High Ropes elements and 8 Low Ropes team challenges. To build these we hope to raise $35,000 by May 1 so that we can complete this project for our first outdoor education guest groups and be ready for summer 2016. An aggressive timeline but a necessary one, so that there are no gaps in experiences for people who have grown to love and expect these wonderful opportunities at Tall Timber.

The project will begin as soon as the snow melts. Construction will take approximately 5 to 10 days. We aim to complete Phase I by May 8,  including training, training manuals and gear for this new and updated challenge course at Tall Timber.

Please consider funding an element(s) in the High or Low Ropes courses! (Naming rights, thank you placards are possible):

1000' Zip Line - $ 4,000
