TTC Disaster Relief Fund

The Travel Corporation will be donating $20,000 to help our extended families in Houston that work at our travel agencies and have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Both Affordable Travel and Vacations to Go are located in Houston and we have been in touch with both teams and offered help.

Even though the water is starting to recede the actual water damage has caused problems that will last weeks, months and years – lost cars, homes, dreams and lives for so many people.

In addition to the company’s contribution, you as employees can also donate to assist our extended family. This fund is being used as a vehicle to provide tax-free cash disbursements to employees of Affordable Vacations that are in the greatest need of assistance.

In the case of Vacations to Go, we have agreed to fund breakfast, lunch and dinner to their 300 employees one day next week. Because it has been so difficult to access supermarkets, restaurants and otherwise good nourishing food, Vacations to Go has taken it upon themselves to feed all of their staff 3 meals a day until their circumstance improves.

We will continue to monitor the tropical storms and hurricanes heading to the East Coast/Gulf and will keep this fund open in case additional help is needed.
