Feed Nepal's Earthquake Victims

Donation protected
My name is Shanna Cooper, and I am from a small town in North Louisiana.  I attended Louisiana Tech University and graduated in the fall of 2013.  I attended class with people from all around the world, so I have friends ranging from my hometown to overseas.  One of my friends, Bishal Vaidya, is a native of Kathmandu, Nepal.  We graduated together and went our separate ways, but we still keep in touch from time to time.  As many have heard and seen about, Nepal experienced a tragedy that they are trying to recover from.  Bishal reached out to me to join his team to help raise funds to go towards helping Nepal's victims recover, and I gladly accepted.

"Sahayogi lai sahoyog" --- Helping Hands

This is the name of our group that is raising funds to help Nepal's earthquake victims.  Sahayogilai sahayog in Nepali means helping those who are already helping others. That is why we chose our name.

We are focused on helping the needy earthquake victims...whether they are inside the Kathmandu Valley or in rural areas of the villages.  We are trying our best to help them with food, shelter, and sanitation.

So far, we have served a few villages.

We have clothes and medicines in our stock at the moment, and a few amount of the funds that we have raised.  But we need help from society to help us reach out to more of the millions of people that have been affected by this catastrophe.  More than 100 villages have been destroyed.  Thousands of people are homeless and living in tents...some not even under tents...Food and basic needs are really needed at this moment.

Every dollar helps.  I set the goal high in hopes that I could raise this much for their group.  Please, help us help Nepalese families.  Our current goal is to help 150 families---about 300 people total.  We have helped a total of 50 families so far.
