Trying to Begone These Breasts

I'm a black nonbinary person who writes, who creates. Been churning through my journey as a gender nonconforming person--the language I've pushed through my stories have helped me navigate. And now I'm at a state where I want the language to be more tangible, more so than a conjure in the throat. This top surgery will shape and hone how I understand this body as it's come to be this lifetime. I am taking the next step to deepen the severance of the colonized projection of gender onto black being.

Top surgery is going to really undo this deep potted sadness--this stuck deep feeling in my body. I don't want to keep risking my health by keeping my binder on for extended hours, which is unavoidable most days because I work full time.

At the end of the day, I'm confirming self.

Anyway, I'll need some financial help. I'm poor and this surgery is pretty expensive.

Help this black nonbinary person be happy and healthy and more in love with themself.
