True 600 Challenge

The TRUE 600 CHALLENGE is an epic 600mile round trip from Staffordshire to Cornwall and back again on a steam traction engine. We are aiming to raise as much money as possible for mental health charities. I lost my beloved son Ben to suicide at Christmas and I want to do something in his memory and to raise some money for mental health charities The two charities we are fundraising for are MIND and the INVICTUS TRUST. MIND is a nationwide charity that supports people of all ages by providing supportive and reliable information that can change their life. The INVICTUS TRUST is a charity that supports young people in Cornwall who are suffering with mental health issues, currently they are raising money for a specialist unit at Bodmin community hospital. At Christmas last year I lost my beloved son Ben to suicide. He was only 26 years old. My dear friends Mr Chris Arrowsmith and Richard Holt are joining forces with myself and my youngest son Joe True to undertake the challenge. The traction engine is owned by Mr Arrowsmith who has kindly agreed to help. The challenge will take place in April next year and will coincide with the Trevithick day celebrations in Cornwall.
