Early Tuesday morning, Trooper Daniel Keith Rebman of the South Carolina Highway Patrol was struck and critically injured.  He was sitting stationary in his patrol vehicle on the emergency lane of I-385 near Greenville, S.C. when he was struck from behind by a pick-up truck. Details on the incident can be found by clicking this link.  Sadly, Trooper Rebman passed away from his injuries around 3pm on October 24th.

Trooper Rebman was a new trooper with the Highway Patrol in the Upstate, having graduated from the SC Criminal Justice Academy on September 2016.  He is survived by his wife and three young daughters who are 2, 4, and 5 years old.

Donations are being raised to support his family following this tragic loss. Please help us give back to the family of a hero who gave his life in service to others.

This fundraiser is endorsed by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program (SCLEAP).  It is coordinated by Heroes In Blue, a 501c3 nonprofit organization committed to promoting positive police and community relationships through empathy and action and to providing support to the families of fallen officers.  Heroes In Blue was founded by Kassy Alia in memory of Officer Gregory Alia who was shot and killed in the line of duty on September 30th, 2015.
