This Go Fund Me page has been set up by the loving friends and family of Trishy, who is now facing the hard reality that her cancer has returned.
Trishy is a vibrant soul always lighting up a room with her great sense of humour and is always there to offer her generous spirit and enriching company.
It is our intention that through this page we can help bring her and her family support through the funds raised.
A little backstory first:
Five years ago Trish was diagnosed with stage 2B breast cancer where she underwent surgery, chemo, radiation and hormone therapy to put her in remission. She not only survived but thrived from the lessons and journey that accompanied this disease with incredible courage, dignity and self-awareness.
Trish’s current circumstances:
At 44 years of age, our beautiful friend is dealing with a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis; beginning another fight for her life. Trish is also a single mother who is striving to live a long life, to be a guide for her two boys who are aged 9 and 11 and enjoy the journey through their school years into adulthood.
A couple of months ago, Trishy began to feel short of breath, eventually visiting her GP as the symptoms did not improve. Sadly her worst fear was realised, her cancer had returned but also metastasised into her pleural lining, spine, rib and sternum.
Trishy has always been an optimistic person and her approach to this is no different, choosing to not only undertake conventional therapy involving an oophorectomy along with a new drug that was recently released on the PBS; she is also undertaking a comprehensive integrative therapy approach.
Cancer is a very complex and intelligent disease, and unfortunately, you can’t outsmart it with just one bullet in the chamber. The strategy is to attack the cancers communication pathways, its blood supply and its food supply so it cannot proliferate into other areas of her body and to endeavour to shrink/destroy existing tumours.
A trip to Germany is highly recommended for photodynamic therapy for bones metastases which is not available in Australia.
The only clinic available with the most promising treatment for bone metastases in the world we have seen after extensive research. We have been in touch with Dr Michael Weber who has developed this technique using a photodynamic therapy that is currently the most promising treatment specifically for bone metastases which does not have adverse side effects commonly associated with other treatments.
It literally laser targets the tumours and also helps maintain pain management.

Also helps during a time of reduced (full-time) income; donations will help provide her and her wonderful family support and help carry this financial burden. Trishy has also had to take a few months off work to recover from 2 pre-treatment operations.
Trishy has been told this cancer is incurable by her oncologist though she hopes to share her unique health protocol for this disease with other women who are facing a similar situation and to offer hope and strength for those directly or indirectly affected by a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis.
