The Family
When Trish Sansoucie and her youngest son, Brady, arrived home from work and school late last Tuesday night they found their house filled with thick smoke and could hear their pets inside. Trish called 9-1-1 and ran to the family's RV for a fire extinguisher. What authorities now believe was an electric fire started earlier in the day, burning and smoldering at a high heat until the flames died down. However, when the front door opened hours later, the flames reignited and engulfed what remained of their belongings.

After calling 9-1-1 a second time, Trish attempted to reenter the house for their pets but was unable to get through the smoke, and the fire extinguisher malfunctioned. The fire gutted the inside of the house. Along with all of their belongings, including family photos, quilts, and keepsakes from raising three children, they lost their dogs as well. Luckily, one dog who happened to be in the fenced yard survived and has been a comfort to them.

While thankful that no one else was injured, Trish, David and their two sons, Cody and Brady, are now displaced. They’ve stayed with family members and friends and have split up to where beds were available, while waiting on their insurance company to provide some assistance. The firefighters deemed the contents of the house to be a total loss, leaving the family with nothing but what they were wearing. Between coworkers, family, friends, and a local church, they have been fortunate to receive heartfelt support from their community.

However, everything from school supplies for their youngest son to furniture and appliances are still needed. The family and their loved ones would like to sincerely thank this community for the outpouring of support so far, and have created this page after many requests to do so. Trish, David, Cody and Brady will be rebuilding their lives with your help. Thank you for your time, thoughts, prayers and donations of any size.

Sincerely,
The Black and Sansoucie Families
