Support for Lyman Johns (papa bear)

As many of you already know, our poppa bear has been very sick and has now been deemed critical and is on life support at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse , NY. His battle began in Plattsburgh , NY where he spent nine long days without answers. He was being treated as a "medical mystery" as teams of doctors both here and elsewhere desperately sought the cause of his illness. Since being here at Upstate Medical, he has undergone a bone marrow biopsy, a liver biopsy, endless blood work and is now receiving dialysis. He is tired but he is strong and we are not giving up on him as he would never give up on us. Poppa bear has been a true warrior all of his life and has battled many health issues in the past. And through it all, he has remained humble and kind. Our parents have given so much to family, friends and strangers alike, many times going without themselves in order to help others and so we, their children are now reaching out to everyone near and far and asking for your support to help them with medical, transportation, lodging and food costs. Poppa bear has now been diagnosed with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) disease. This is a life threatening immunodeficiency disorder. He is still fighting for his life and he needs your continuous prayers and support!!
