About a year ago, my Dad (who most of you know as Bud Thompson) was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.
Imagine how hard that news is to hear when you're only 63 years old. He was devistated. He wasn't sure how to explain it to my Mom (his wife of 36 years) and to myself and my little brother and little sister.
He ended up losing his job at GE, and was unsure of how to afford treatments.
My Dad has been the main financial provider for our family my entire life. He's hardworking, loving, supportive. He's my hero.
So, when I found out he had stage 4 Prostate Cancer...I researched every single detail of this disease to try to find a cure or ways to help. Unfortunately, at stage 4 (since the cancer has spread and they cannot remove it) the best thing we can do is undergo treatments.
The medical bills/treatments are extremely expensive. He has to fight aggressively for 45 days of treatments every morning to ensure the best possible outcome.
With your help we can keep the treatments going until he is 65 and can receive Medicare.
