Baileys further treatment

In september 2016 i found out that out 8 month old little boy had a brain tumour that turned out to be cancer (anaplastic ependymoma). At the time we found out he was very very poorly he had an E.V.D put in to his head to drain of the fluid as he couldn't drain it him self due to the tumour hours after the surgery to insert the E.V.D he stopped breathing (he had a hemorage inside the tumour) and had to have emergancy surgery to save his life. This hemorage caused my son to loose all his development and his vision. In October 2016 he had a long term shunt in to drain the fluid as he couldn't deal with it himself. We spent a total of 12 weeks in hospital before we was aloud to take him home, He also started a long 18 months of chemo so coming into hospital every 2 weeks for chemo for 18 months. All was going well after 6 months he started to develop again doing things a child would be doing starting to roll play etc then in September 2017 his development got pushed back again as his shunt started causing problems getting blocked so we was back in hospital for 12 weeks while they sorted his shunt out eventually going into his gallbladder instead of his tummy he's only the 2nd person in the UK to have a shunt into his gallbladder, once that was sorted we carried on with his treatment the after a few months he started to develop again as he was before his vision is starting to come back slowly we finished his 18 month treatment in january 2018 and he had his end of treatment mri scan at the beginning of this month (march) to find that the tumour has come back so my son now has to undergo surgery again to remove the tumour the we have to go to the USA to get further treatment called proton therapy and hopefully that is successful. All I want in life is the best for my son and hopefully this treatment will have some effect. Despite the tumour returning he is doing really well and has fought everything that has been thrown at him his developmental future is unknown we don't know how well he will develop only time will tell but this treatment in America will give him the chance for his future. Any donations are greatly appreciated as you can imagine our time over there is going to be really expensive so anything we recived i am hugely thankful for. Xxx I will post updates along the way xxx thank you in advance xx
