4 years ago, I met the love of my life. Instantly (on probably date #3) I knew I wanted Andy to be my husband and for him to be the father of my children. I have wanted to be a mom for as long as I can remember. The worst thing I could think of ever happening would be to not be able to have a child. To be a mother is what I desire more than anything, I consider it to be my calling in life. Some of you know, but most of you don’t know that Andy and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years now. I wouldn’t have ever thought Andy and I would struggle to get pregnant. After all, we are both fit and healthy. After trying for 14 months unsuccessfully, we knew something was wrong, so I made an appointment to see a fertility specialist. She confirmed our fears, that we will have a very difficult time or no chance at all of having a child naturally. We were devastated by that news, but knew there was still hope. We decided to try IUI (intra uterine insemenation). IUI is much less invasive, costs much less, but success rates are only 10-15%. We wanted to give it a shot before trying IVF. So we tried IUI, and 2 weeks later got a call that sent us both into tears. It was not successful. We were not pregnant. We tried again the next cycle, and again, found out it did not work. So here we are now. We have decided to do IVF. Sadly, IVF is not covered by insurance, so we are humbly asking for your help. We can’t do this without you.
