Trash Bags On Tour Website
Imagine you’re walking along your favourite beach, the sand between your toes, the sun is setting over the oceans horizon. You’re in a healthy space, and the marine life are thriving as there’s no plastic waste in their home.
Now cast your memory back to the last beach experience you had and notice, if these two visions align.
It is said by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish.
Trash Bags On Tour is a beach clean up education program.
We input all the rubbish we find into the Tangaroa Blue Australia Marine Debris Initiative database continuing the source reduction plan implemented from Government.
We believe in the statement ‘If all we ever do is clean, that’s all we’ll ever do’.
Therefore, we include a zero waste discussion, encouraging more sustainable consumer choices.
We engage community groups, council initiatives, corporate entities, and tour operators.
Our next Trash Bags On Tour event is to Phillip Island this weekend! Working with Phillip Island Nature Parks, we will all take part in a beach clean at Summerland's Beach, in preparation for the famous little penguins to return home!
We have educated 196 people and removed over 350kgs of waste, otherwise bound for our oceans.
To grow our vision and make a bigger impact we need funding. $1,000 will help us acquire not-for-profit status, further resources, online visibility and business structure.
This funding will help our marine life, it will support sustainable consumer practices, it will help us create the change we need to see in the world.
We would love your help and any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
